Maria Luisa Savo Sardaro Awarded 2026 Osher Pilot Research Grant

Research Associate Maria Luisa Savo Sardaro was awarded the 2026 Osher Pilot Research Grant from the Northwestern Medicine Osher Center for Integrative Health Integrative Health for her project “Rising Risk of Chronic Disease in Early Adulthood.” The project will investigate the effects of integrating fermented foods into the diet on gut microbiota, inflammatory markers, and mental health in college students whose dietary intake is largely dependent on campus cafeterias.
